Welcome to the online auction platform for Ray’s Body Shop & Wrecker Service. By registering, bidding, or participating in any auction, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. General Auction Terms

All vehicles are sold through a public or online auction to the highest qualified bidder in accordance with applicable North Carolina laws governing towing, storage, and lien sales.

Ray’s reserves the right to:

  • Refuse or revoke bidding privileges
  • Remove or add vehicles without notice
  • Set minimum bids or reserves

2. Compliance with North Carolina Law

All vehicles offered for sale have been processed in accordance with applicable provisions of the North Carolina General Statutes, including but not limited to laws governing abandoned vehicles and possessory liens for towing and storage.

Ray’s Body Shop & Wrecker Service has complied with required procedures, including when applicable:

  • Notice to owners and lienholders
  • Waiting periods prior to sale
  • Legal procedures for disposal of unclaimed vehicles

3. Vehicle Condition (AS-IS Sale)

All vehicles are sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS, with NO WARRANTIES, expressed or implied.

  • No guarantees of condition, safety, mileage, or operability
  • Vehicles may be damaged, inoperable, or missing parts
  • Buyer assumes all risk upon purchase

4. Titles & Legal Documentation

Vehicles may be sold with one of the following:

  • Clear Title
  • Salvage Title
  • Lien Sale Documentation
  • No Title – Parts Only / Scrap

Important:

  • Some vehicles may require application through the North Carolina DMV for title issuance
  • Buyer is solely responsible for titling, registration, inspections, and compliance with DMV requirements
  • Ray’s makes no guarantee that a title can be obtained

5. Buyer Responsibility

By placing a bid, you agree to:

  • Pay the full purchase amount if you are the winning bidder
  • Comply with all applicable North Carolina vehicle laws
  • Remove the vehicle within the stated timeframe

6. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due within 24 hours of auction close, unless otherwise agreed upon between buyer and seller
  • Accepted payment methods: [Cash, Company Check, NO PERSONAL CHECKS]
  • Failure to pay may result in forfeiture of bidding privileges, reassignment of the vehicle, and legal enforcement

7. Vehicle Pickup, Storage & Towing

  • Vehicles must be removed within 48–72 hours
  • Storage fees may apply: $35/day
  • Buyer must present valid ID and proof of purchase at pickup
  • Buyer is responsible for towing and transportation arrangements

8. Inspection / Buyer Due Diligence

  • Buyers are strongly encouraged to inspect vehicles prior to bidding
  • Failure to inspect does not relieve buyer of responsibility

9. Bidding Terms

  • All bids are legally binding
  • Bidders must be at least 18 years of age
  • Fraudulent bidding is prohibited
  • Ray’s is not responsible for technical issues, outages, or bidding delays on online platforms

10. No Refunds or Returns

All sales are final.

  • No refunds
  • No exchanges
  • No chargebacks

11. Liability Waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ray’s Body Shop & Wrecker Service is not liable for:

  • Injuries occurring on the premises
  • Damage arising from loading, towing, or transporting purchased vehicles
  • Mechanical, electrical, cosmetic, or title-related issues after sale
  • Errors in listings, photographs, or descriptions

12. Default & Legal Enforcement

Failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions may result in account termination, loss of bidding privileges, legal action, and recovery of damages, fees, and costs.

13. Indemnification

Buyer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Ray’s Body Shop & Wrecker Service from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from the use, transport, resale, registration, or disposal of purchased vehicles.

14. Changes to Terms

Ray’s reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
